We can also supply on rental, or for purchase, units intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres which comply with the requirements of the Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 1996 - also known as ATEX Regulations.

For more information on ATEX regulations we recommend you refer too;

This is very much a consultation process as we gather all the required information to progress before passing to a consultant to form a DSEAR Risk Assessment (Dangerous Substances & Explosive Atmosphere Regulations). The classification, with takes into account Zones (0, 1 or 2) Temperature & Ignition classifications, is then formed from this assessment.

The classification on our most recent installation was as follows;

Specified for an environment that will not have an explosive atmosphere under normal use, IE except spillages/accidents etc. (Zone 2). A medium risk of explosion should a spillage occur (IIB). Where no surface temperature of any component within the zoned area shall reach 135°C, being 80% of flash point of product (T4).
